Char Minar:
The symbol of Hyderabad, the Char Minar was built by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, in 1591 after he had shifted his capital from Golkonda, to commemorate the elimination of a plague epidemic from this city. Charminar is an archetype of Indo-Islamic architecture, replete with intricate carvings, elegant & perfectly proportioned. A special illumination at night presents a splendid spectacle.

Salar Jung Museum:
The biggest one-man collection of antiques in the world, the Salar Jung is a testament to the passionate collection of one man, Nawab Salar Jung III, the former prime minister of Hyderabad. It is a virtual treasure trove of items belonging to different civilizations dating back to the 1st century. Indian Art includes stone sculptures, bronze images, jade carvings, painted textiles, wood carvings, miniature paintings, modern art, ivory carvings, textiles, metal-ware, manuscript, arms & armor etc. Middle Eastern Art contains the collection of arts from. from Persia, Arabia, Syria, and Egypt. Collection of Far Eastern Art exhibit includes works from China, Japan, Tibet, Nepal and Thailand etc. Oil and watercolor paintings form an important part of the European Collection.

Golkonda:
Golkonda, is a ruined fortress city, the capital of ancient Kingdom of Golkonda. Flourishing under Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah Wali, the fortress was rebuilt for defense from invading. The dynasty laid Golkonda's splendid monuments & even in their state of desolation one may well imagine the state of grandeur the place must once have been. A famous feature of the fort is a perfect acoustical system by which a hand clap sounded at the fort's main gates, was heard at the top of the citadel, situated on a 300-foot granite hill.
